Mark Bridger arrested on suspicion of the murder of April Jones

Police have been given an extra 24 hours to question Mark Bridger. It was announced that they now arrested him on suspicion of murder. I can't believe that this has happened! this devastating news for the family of April Jones and for the residents of the village she lived in.

Police launched the murder investigation after finally giving up hope of finding her alive because of new forensic test results that arrived overnight. To be honest, I am one of those people that believe that until April is found dead they should not have given up hope of finding her alive, can you imagine what sort of a message that sends to her friends and family?

Detective Superintendent Bevan has said that "While there has been a significant development, I appeal for information to find April,"

Superintendent John also added "We want to acknowledge and are extremely grateful for the efforts of the community volunteers who have supported the professional searchers in trying to locate her."

Hopefully the police do end up finding her alive and Bridger gets the punishment he deserves and justice is done for the family of April Jones and of course, April herself.

Five year old April Jones abducted in Wales

Five year old April Jones missing since 7:00 PM UK time

Yesterday night at around 7:00 UK time 5 year old April Jones got into the drivers side of a cream/white van of her own accord and has been missing ever since. I can't believe that there is another child missing! and that there is someone out there who has the guts and immorality to take a young child from her parents! I heard about this tragic occurrence on BBC News when I got home from school earlier and was shocked. There is not much to write about at the moment but I can tell you that lots of people from all over the UK have gone down to Wales and volunteered their time to help look for April. I will be keeping an eye on this news story and giving you updates as I hear them. I end this post by saying how sorry I feel for April's family and hope that she does get found safe and well and hopefully soon!


Lastly, I would like to urgently encourage people on Twitter, Facebook and other social networks to post messages about the abduction and post photos of April so people know who to look for and tell people to call their local police if they hear anything relating to the investigation.
