Mark Bridger charged with the abduction and murder of April Jones

Police investigating the disappearance of April Jones have formally charged Mark Bridger with the abduction and murder of 5 year old April Jones. Mark Bridger was arrested a day after April Jones went missing and throughout the investigation, has been their only suspect. He has also been charged with perverting the course of justice and child abduction. Bridger is due in court in Aberystwyth on Monday.

For the first time tonight, search teams have stood down during the night and will continue searching tomorrow morning. Dyfed-Powys police have said that they are still "Focused and committed" to finding April.

I know this might be a horrible thing to say right now but I wasn't really shocked when I found out that Mark Bridger was arrested on suspicion of murder and am still not shocked that he has now been formally charged. However, do not make this sound like I do not care about what has happened over the past week and I give my absolute condolences to the friends and family of April Jones. Secondly, I really hope with all my heart that search teams find April's body tomorrow and that the courts find Mark Bridger guilty and give him life, in fact I wouldn't mind if the government announced later tonight or tomorrow that are bringing back corporal punishment for people like this and they also publicly hang Mark Bridger in front of everyone because if you take a life I believe that you don't have a right to a life yourself!

As you can tell, I am very passionate about this tragic event that has happened this week. However, as I have said before, please do not judge me by some of the comments that I make because I do let my passion run away with me at times and sometimes do not completely mean what I say and my regret the above paragraph tomorrow morning, perhaps this entire post but I highly doubt it because of what Bridger but April's friends and family through.

Mark Bridger arrested on suspicion of the murder of April Jones

Police have been given an extra 24 hours to question Mark Bridger. It was announced that they now arrested him on suspicion of murder. I can't believe that this has happened! this devastating news for the family of April Jones and for the residents of the village she lived in.

Police launched the murder investigation after finally giving up hope of finding her alive because of new forensic test results that arrived overnight. To be honest, I am one of those people that believe that until April is found dead they should not have given up hope of finding her alive, can you imagine what sort of a message that sends to her friends and family?

Detective Superintendent Bevan has said that "While there has been a significant development, I appeal for information to find April,"

Superintendent John also added "We want to acknowledge and are extremely grateful for the efforts of the community volunteers who have supported the professional searchers in trying to locate her."

Hopefully the police do end up finding her alive and Bridger gets the punishment he deserves and justice is done for the family of April Jones and of course, April herself.

Yesterday, Welsh police arrested Mark Bridger in connection with the abduction of April Jones. Police are also appealing for any information relating to a blue land rover belonging to Bridger and are urging the public to contact them if they have seen the vehicle between 5:00PM on Monday and 3:30 on Tuesday.

I am so glad that they are making progress this early into this investigation and right now it looks like the police are getting close to finding April  which is such good news for the public and of course for April's family who were to quote them "Shattered" by her disappearance, they also said that "their lives had stopped". Hopefully, Mark will give the police the information they need to find April safe and sound.

One last thing before I wrap this up, I know this might make me seem like a horrible person but I'm not and I don't mean to offend anyone by what I am about to say. During the news on LBC this morning they played audio from an appeal for information from April's father, to be honest he didn't really have much expression in his voice when he was appealing for the information and didn't sound too bothered that his little girl was missing, he was most likely trying to be strong for his family which is exactly what I hope he was doing because we do not need another investigation conclusion that involves a member of the family being involved, like I said please do not let this paragraph make you think that I am a bad person and another one of those conspiracy theorist because honestly I'm not and just like all of you am hoping that April is found safe and well!
