A 14 year old girl who campaigned for girls rights in Pakistan was shot on her way home from school yesterday by a masked Taliban member! Her name was Malala Yousafzai and I think that it was a brave thing that she done and I'm sure that everyone is glad she had the guts to stand up for her rights. After surgery it was announced that she is in critical condition.
The Taliban justified the shooting by saying that what she said on her blog was against Islamic law! Pakistanis hare outraged with the incident and so are many of the citizens of other countries and the incident has made headlines worldwide. In a blog post she wrote “I had a terrible dream yesterday with military helicopters and the Taliban,” the post was titled “I Am Afraid.”
This shooting has hopefully made President Obama and Prime Minister David Cameron think twice about removing US and British forces from Afghanistan in 2014 because to be honest it doesn't look like the Afghan National Army and obviously the Afghan and Pakistani public are not ready to defend their country against the Taliban alone. This war with the Taliban is about Britain and the United States and involves soldiers and to be honest if the Taliban have to shoot an UNARMED SCHOOLGIRL then they are clearly afraid of our forces and need to learn to take them on like the grown men they are, they started this war! THEY NEED TO FINISH IT!
