Livestrong bracelets: To wear or not to wear? that is the question

After world famous cyclist Lance Armstrong has been found guilty of doping and stepped down as CEO of his cancer charity Livestrong, many fans are wondering if they should carry on wearing their Livestrong bracelets. Yesterday, I came across a tweet from someone saying "I have been wearing my Livestrong bracelet since 2004 but not anymore it reminds me too much of Lance I'm sorry". To that I said the following  "Keep wearing the bracelet to at least support the charity, don't let what he has done ruin the good work of the charity".

Yes I do agree that what Lance Armstrong has done is terrible and a huge letdown for all of his friends, family and of course his fans but I don't think that it is right that people stop supporting a good charity just because of what its former CEO did. Lets look at this from another perspective, If you done something bad like take drugs or rob a shop, would your parents stop loving you? no. Well, if you get rid of that Livestrong bracelet and stop contributing to the charity (if you do) then you have effectively stopped loving all of the cancer patients that the charity supports and give help to because of YOUR contributions!

Before you decide to stop loving those cancer patients and forget about the charity and what it truly stands for, just stop and think about what you are about to do and if then still you feel that you have to lose the bracelet and forget about the charity then that is your decision, sad though it is, it is your decision and yours alone.

Just remember, what one person does should not effect millions of people in unfortunate circumstances around the world.
