Livestrong donors want their money back!

In the wake of the report about Lance Armstrong by the U.S anti-doping agency has caused many contributors to his charity LIvestrong to ask for their money back. Armstrong appealed yesterday for people to keep on fighting cancer and to carry on donating to his charity. Armstrong stepped down as chairman of Livestrong and lost endorsement deals from both Nike and Anheuser-Busch. Lance also received a lifetime ban from cycling and got his seven Tour De France titles stripped from him. I first talked about Lance Armstrong's charity in my article titled Livestrong bracelets: to wear or not to wear? that is the question.

Yet again, I think people are being inconsiderate and only thinking about themselves! what about all those people that the money is benefiting by paying for their treatment and sending them cards showing their support!

For once I completely agree with what Armstrong said during his appeal about continuing to fight cancer. Like I said in my other article about Livestrong, if you done something bad would your parents stop loving you? no they wouldn't! well whilst these people are asking for their money back, they are beginning to stop loving the people they are helping with their money and they are letting them down and effectively dropping them into the gutter! there are twenty eight million people that Livestrong are helping around the world, this means that the people giving their money back are letting down twenty eight million people around the world and it is clear to me that these people asking for money back do not have a conscience!

  1. Absolutely right Gary. Makes you wonder what the motivation was for these people to support his foundation in the first place.
